Take your basic, blended scotch and dump some liquid smoke in it and you’ve got this. Very synthetic. Not at all an alternative to the delicious goodness of the Ardbegs, Lagavulins or Laphoraigs of the scotch world. If you’re a fan of JW, just stick to the basics. There’s no need to venture here.

Burnt rubber and campfire smoke on the nose. Somewhat oily body, with hints of orchard fruit, citrus and honey on the palate. Smoky and relatively short finish. Unbalanced, one dimensional, and certainly not worth the price compared to the the standard Black Label. This barely gets three stars.
