Tries to push the smoky side of the brand further, but for my palate it ends up feeling excessively bitter and much less enjoyable than it should. The heavier smoke does not translate into greater depth or satisfaction; instead, it comes across in a way that feels rougher, darker, and more aggressive without enough balance to support it. What stands out most is the bitterness, which overwhelms the experience and takes away from any real pleasure the whisky could offer.
