Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve

2.0 stars - OK, 100 ml sample Supposedly, this is designed for Highballs. I thought it was lacking in character. And normally I love blends with Clynelish. I do not drink whiskey cocktails, and cannot comment if this is better as a scotch and soda.

Smokey

A nice blended whisky, with enough complexity on the palate to keep things interesting. On the palate I get honey, apricot and a bit of smoke. A nice dram, but nothing mindblowing. Note: I drank this from a 5CL tasting bottle, which was part of the Johnnie Walker Discover Collection.
