Nose is honey and smoke. A bit of coastal brine. On the tongue it is honey, some smoke, crackling tingling black pepper. Long tingling salt and pepper finish. The honey runs throughout. The finish is quite long.
I can definitely taste the Talisker and Caol Isla. All and all, a very pleasant whiskey at an affordable price point. I only wish that it was bottled at 92 proof - I think that would make it perfect.
Nose - Smoke but this wet wood that's been put out and has a fresh breeze smoke to it. Along with some nuttiness that turns into a honey alcohol that isn't burning but soothing.
Taste - Just neat seems to have a cool smokiness that has oak but slowly dried fruit that has that nutty taste.
Finish - the nutty just lingers and slowly becomes sweet in like peanut butter.
Overall - this is enjoyable on a hot day or cool it's got more than what I can pick up going on but solid pick up.
