Journeyman Distillery Silver Cross Four Grain Whiskey

Been through several bottles of this one already, but it was part of our tasting at the distillery, so I didn’t turn it down! Tough to pick out a specific aroma on the nose. I get a sweetness, but the alcohol is there for sure. Plenty of heat if you sip this one neat; try it with some water for a different experience. Very enjoyable pour however you chose to drink it.

CASK STRENGTH VERSION (had in person as fart of a flight at the distillery the day we found out McK was pregnant ). Cola, chocolate, and spice with a long finish of wood and malty biscuit

Great feel- thick and creamy with a long finish. Hints of smoke

Nasty

Decent 4 grain bourbon. Nothing I can’t do without. Kind of unusual flavor.

Batch 141, Bottle 1116. Once I gained more of an appreciation for whiskey, this one comes through quite nicely. Equal parts rye, wheat, corn, and barley. Grain, cinnamon, slightly bitter. 1% for golf!
