Other Whiskey
Journeyman Distillery // Michigan, USA
Kissing Cousins is Journeyman’s Featherbone Bourbon finished in a Wyncroft Winery 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon barrel. The name is a nod to the bourbon kissing the winery’s (which is nearby the distillery) barrel.
The mash bill is predominantly corn, but also includes Michigan wheat, rye, and barley malt. The base bourbon is aged for 15 months in new white oak.

Tasting Notes
"The cabernet is present in the nose of this whiskey, providing a lush, grapey, and almost brandy-like aroma. On the palate, we're treated to flavors of candied ginger, plums, and clementine. The finish is pleasingly complex with a hint of alcohol burn that doesn't spoil the party at all. The wine barrel influence has truly turned what was a young, unwieldy craft spirit into something much more sophisticated. "
