Jura Origin 10 Year

Ahh it was okay, nothing really jumped out and managed to quickly get through it without much to say.

Nose: Farmyard, hay, earth. Hints of sulphur and acetone Palate: Mid-sweet, honey, herbal, fudge, cereal, cream, liquorice, pepper. A little artificial tasting. Finish: Medium long finish. Hay, baked orchard fruit, sulphur. This has always been one of my mum's favourite drams, although she still goes for the current replacement Jura 10y/o. For my taste this one is a little watery and the funky/farmyard quality is a little off-putting. I think the replacement 10y/o is a little better than the Origin 10y/o.

Nose: Raisins, prunes, Palate: caramel, toffee, vainilla smooth & rich finish, one of my favorite whiskys to enjoy while relaxing and reading at night

Nose, fruit and floral. Apples. Something else? Taste, first is peat smoke then wood. Alcohol sharpness. Spice lingers on the tongue. Then long finish of wood tannins. Not much fruit in the taste, or maybe my tongue is just to thrashed at this point in the night. Moderately warming on the way down.

Nose: cloves spice, alcohol. Vanilla. Stewed red apple. Palate: light spice from beginning, which getting stronger through the finish. Dark chocolate. Bit too much oak Finish: little bit dry, spicy, briny.
