Kaiyō Japanese Mizunara Oak

Distinct profile from most whiskeys with a mild start, flavorful middle and clean finish.

This was a very delicate but enjoyable pour. Lots of fresh fruit and honey with a touch of oak and spice to balance it out.

On the nose this is more closely like a bourbon and I can get oak and vanilla. First sip has floral, oak, and slight slight brown sugar. Ice creates some subtlety but doesnt change much.

Very drinkable. Peppery for Japanese. Licorice nose.
