Kilchoman Am Bùrach (2020 Edition)
Kilchoman Am Bùrach is a one-off limited edition release for the brand and is the result of a stillman mistakenly blending port-matured Kilchoman into the Machir Bay release--a bourbon and sherry matured release. After this error, the resulting whisky was then matured a further 9 years in bourbon barrels before finishing for 6 months in ruby port casks.
Kilchoman general manager, Islay Heads, declared this an "Am Bùrach"-- Gaelic for "the mess." Only 10,550 bottles were created, 1350 for the US.
