Kilchoman Machir Bay (2016 Edition)

Whisky me pouch. My first sample of kilchoman, very impressed. Peaty aroma and slightly medicinal. Really light and refreshing taste which took me by surprise. Fruity and fresh, Sherry barrels especially prominent, giving some raisin notes. Light smoke and salt mix in with the sweetness to give a lovely, lingering finish. Definitely will be looking to get a bottle of this.

Fruity, peaty nose. Velvety smooth initial sip with a pleasant smoky finish that doesn't overpower the citrus notes.
