Kilchoman Sanaig (2016 Edition)

Much richer than the Machir Bay, with some lovely sweet / toffee in the finish. The peat was nicely rounded.

Nose: a like peat and smoke Taste: strong pepper and peat taste, a light note of dark fruit Finish: medium length finish

Sweetness up front but really well balanced. Good amount of peat.

Sickly sweet for me. Though there is a delicateness, with a peatyness that goes towards bitterness. It has a lot going on, but not for me

Nose - peaty, salty, faint bit of smokeyness Taste - a good amount of smokeyness that transitions into sweet Finish - quite smooth and somewhat fruity and mostly sweet, leaves an almost sugary taste in the mouth. The sweet and sugary finish decreases intensity as the bottle went on past the first 1/3. Score - 4.0, very interesting drink, smokey and peat with sweetness is a recipe that I am pleasantly surprised by Scoring Legend 5.0 - Outstanding, unmatched to others 4.5 - Excellent, I will always keep a bottle in stock if possible 4.0 - Very good, quite enjoyable to drink, can consider as a solid choice 3.5 - Good, would taste again 3.0 - Average 2.5 - Acceptable, still drinkable 2.0 - Inferior, able to drink but not enjoyable 1.5 and below—wouldn’t drink again unless I am desperate
