Killowen 5 Year Signature Rum & Raisin Single Malt
This signature release from Killowen features a sourced single malt whiskey matured for a minimum 5 years in ex-bourbon barrels. It was finished in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks and ones that had been used to age the distillery's own dark rum.
Bottled at 55% ABV, it's available in the US beginning March 2024. (SRP $77/375ml).

Tasting Notes
"The nose and palate of this whiskey is tightly concentrated, yielding notes of dried dates, figs, raisins, and fresh pears with a subtle lavender florality. Adding a drop or two of water allows those flavors and aromas to spread out of this light-bodied whiskey a bit more. The finish is a bit hot, but the hit on the back of the throat is more of a friendly jab than a sucker punch. "
