Reviewed November 10, 2020Kinsip knocked it out of the park with this one. Before tasting, I'd have never thought that I needed cassis in my life. Kinsip's County Cassis is a brandy-based liqueur made from local black currants. The nose transports me to a quaint farmer's market on a sunny day. Sipping neat, County Cassis balances tang and sweetness in a refreshing, non-syrupy way. The palate is bold, juicy and rich. This liqueur delights the tongue in a sweet, tart and grounded flavour carousel ride (that I don't want get off!). County Cassis would be lovely in a clear spirit cocktail, drizzled on ice cream or had by its own, chilled, or over ice. Points for both execution and originality. 9/1034.95 CAD per BottleKinsip
