Reviewed October 24, 2021 (edited November 29, 2021)Nose: fruity, ripe orchard fruits- the kind you get during the fall at a farmers market, some light sherry, hint of honey, briny sea salt air, medium smoky peat, oaky wood, a little barrel spice. Taste: fruit notes are light and at the front, medium malt, transitions into a soft smoky peat that’s not overall powerful, finish lingers nicely with a decent oily feel. Not super complex and lacks a little depth. Overall, not bad, especially for someone getting into peaty scotches for the first time. -

Reviewed August 17, 2021 (edited August 11, 2022)Young and peaty with a sharp alcohol taste. Reminds me of port Charlotte 10 that hasn’t finished aging. For the price I would spend the extra money for an older bottle. -

Reviewed August 17, 2021 (edited November 17, 2022)Style - Neat in Norlan Nose - Peaty with a good amount of ethanol. Slight hints of caramel apple. Taste - The alcohol and smoke flavors swap here, with some heat to start mellowing out into smoky notes. Spiced sweetness near the front of the sip. Finish - A light burn stays near the back of my mouth after the sip and takes awhile to migrate to my throat. Score - 3.25 Scoring Legend 5.0 - Near perfect, there is something truly special about this whisky. 4.5 - Amazing, will always try to keep a bottle of this in my collection (if feasible). 4.0 - Very Good, maybe only one minor nitpick about the whisky keeping it here. 3.5 - Good, quite enjoyable to drink. 3.0 - Solid, wouldn't go out of my way to get it. 2.5 - Meh, still drinkable. Under 2.5 - If you have a bottle of this, start cooking with it instead. -
