Nose: vanilla, caramel, smokey barrel char, orange peel, walnuts, toffee
Palate: surprisingly sweet. Plenty of toffee and caramel, pecan pie if that pie had walnuts and peanuts.
Finish: cherry coke, leather, burnt oak, and heath bar
Nose: vanilla, toasted oak, Caramel, brown sugar
Body: light and watery
Palate: cinnamon starts, cherry, vanilla, toasted oak
Finish: medium to long with the smoke I like. Toasted oak smoke. Very nice.
Note: I like this significantly more than last years version. It’s a classic bourbon but the tastes are deep and lingering. It’s excellent.

Nose is a lot more oak-heavy than other Knob Creek releases. Some roasted marshmallow notes as well. Dark, woody, palate, followed by a lingering, smokey finish. This is right on the edge of where some people may not like the big oak presence, but if you’re into that like I am, it’s a great pour.
