Knob Creek 9 Year Small Batch Bourbon

A solid everyday bourbon. Smells fantastic. Drinks easy. Finishes phenomenal.

Neat. Visually, a beautiful mahogany. Nose is rich and pleasant. Caramel, oak, vanilla, leather, toffee, some rye spice and stone fruit as it opens up. Flavor starts toffee sweet, and an immediate punch of cinnamon and oak. Cherry, pepper, vanilla. Finish is dry with charred oak, light sweetness, and rye spice Not a 'pretty' bourbon, but I really like the charred oak bite and spice. Bonus for value. It deserves a permanent space on the shelf

Definite oak, smoke and char. A bit too much char for my taste for sipping neat, but worked well for cocktails in flavor and proof.

First pour was rough, but then loved it neat with a piece of dark chocolate & occasional cigar. Its brown sugar and vanilla notes are seductive
