I've tried this bottle of Knob Creek several times, and it's just not my thing. It's one of the bottles without the 9 year age statement, so maybe that makes a difference, I don't know. I get molasses and alcohol on the nose. The palate is boiled peanuts, musty corn, and not much sweetness to be found. The finish is tannic oak and tea leaves. There's a bitter aftertaste that sticks around. It's a little harsh for the proof too. This is a profile that just doesn't fit my taste.
