Kyrö Malt Rye Whisky

Notes of Rye bread, orange marmalade, and pepper. Nose smells like warm Thanksgiving spices.

Malted rye is supposed to be less spicy and gentler compared a regular rye whiskey, but this whiskey is pretty hot. With this one there is a lot of ethanol on the nose and taste is still pretty youthful with fresh grain and mild oak being the main flavors. Fun to try something different, but not the most well rounded whiskey.
