Laird's Bottled In Bond Straight Apple Brandy
American Brandy
Laird & Company // New Jersey, USA
After a four-year hiatus, Laird's returns with a Bottled in Bond version of their Straight Apple Brandy in late summer 2018. Due to high demand, the brand had to remove this designation as they couldn't produce enough brandy in a single season as is required for Bottled in Bond spirits.
They have now doubled production in the fall and added a spring distillation. This Straight Apple Brandy has been aged for at least four years in oak and is bottled at 100 proof.

American BrandyProduced in the US, this is usually referring to brandy distilled from grape-based wine. If the producer uses other fruit, it must be stated on the label. If aged under two years in oak, it must state the word "immature" on the label. Beyond that, labels such as VS, VSOP, and XO mean little as the brands themselves dictate what that means to them.
