Evolves quickly.
Nose in my first dram was more peaty while my second I noticed caramel and slight vanilla and less peat. Mellows out more after each dram.
Palate is a bit musky and slight notes of oak, slightly sweet. It's well rounded and smooth.
Finish is medium, slightly lingers and somewhat creamy.
Probably one of the best whisky I’ve ever tasted! Mixt of light peat, sea salt, sweet vanilla.
I was walking by the beach on Islay eating a vanilla apple pie and breathing the sea air filled with algies. There was a small peat fire nearby with some oak wood in it to start it up. We were smelling a hint of the smoke from that fire and feeling the heat on that cold automn day by the sea!
