Peaty, smokey and wonderful!
Very much like the Ardbeg Uigeadail but less smoked meat character and more mellow, possibly a bit more complex.
On the nose, less medicinal and bandaid than the Laphroag 10 with more dark fruit.
On the palate, not as much sweetness as the Laphroag 10. More dark fruit and spicy.
Finish, spicy and smokey. Medium to long finish.
Probably my favorite Laphroag and depends on the day if I favor the Lore or the Uigeadail.
Edit……I’ve had this bottle for a week now and I it’s all I want to drink. I’ve tried it side by side with the Uigeadail and the Port Charlotte 10 and I have to say I would recommend the Lore over either.
