Laphroaig Quarter Cask

Une solide bouteille, aussi agréable en semaine que pour célébrer le week-end. Bien différente du classique 10 ans de la distillerie, elle surprend dès le nez avec des notes de cidre fumé. En bouche, la tourbe est bien présente, mais équilibrée par un beau côté boisé et une texture très douce, presque crémeuse. La finale est longue, savoureuse et toujours sur la fumée. Et en prime, un prix encore très intéressant dans un marché où tout ne cesse d’augmenter — un vrai coup de cœur ! Bouteille ouverte en 2026-01.

I'm finally getting around to reviewing this bottle after it has been open for over a decade so YMMV. This is really enjoyable bringing subtle smokiness on the front end that opens up into a rich whiskey. Iodine, maybe a little band-aid, and a touch of brininess, this Scotch will stand out in your collection even if you're an Islay enthusiast. I love the proof point at 96 and would love to see an example at around 110, this is non-chill filtered and the mouthfeel benefits from this. This is non age-stated, but I would guess between 12 to 15 if I was tasting this blind. I will continue to explore the Laphroaig lineup, but I think this may get repurchased when this bottle is gone.
