While Triple Wood has many of the same flavors I know and love in Laphroaig 10, I find the extra barrel aging muted many of the notes and flavors I look for in Laphroaig. The peat, iodine, sea-salt, and medicinal notes I love in Laphroaig 10 are there, but turned down due to the abundant sweetness and wood flavor of the Triple Wood.
If you find Laphroaig 10 too harsh, you might like Triple Wood more.
