little hot but nice nutty maple brown sugar mix going on here. excellent bottle for the price.

Nice caramel and sweet start. Complex flavors. Very hot on the finish.

Just like the small batch, but so much more of it. Full round sweetness of cinnamon bun. Raisin brown sugar finish. Just like the small batch but a full bite and not a nibble.

Taste: Strong toasted marshmallow up front and finishes with honey and breadiness. Heavy oak (like chewing on wood without being astringent). Bitter dark chocolate. Look: deep amber and bright Smell: strong toasted marshmallow with a boozy but smooth sting

Nose: Dark caramel, red apple, charred oak, cherry, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Palate: Brown butter cinnamon apple pie, caramel, brown sugar, baking spices, and a peppery finish. An excellent pour!

Pretty un-impressed. Tastes hot, young, and mono-tone. Sure, it's sweet, it's a wheater. Yes, lots of bread and caramel, but really lacking a wood backbone. I don't understand the hype here or why it is allocated like ECBP. ECBP is infinitely better. To be fair, I don't like regular small batch Larceny, so maybe it is a profile problem. But to me it is short and sharp. At this price point, Rare Breed is every bit as good. And for a cask strength wheater, Maker's Mark Cask Strength is cheaper and not allocated. Won't pick up again, except to use as trade capital.
