Leatherback Rum Special Reserve

Purchased from one of my local distilleries. First barrel strength rum that I've tried. Nose is sticky molasses and black bananas. Sweet and burning on the palate, with more banana and other tropical fruits. The finish lingers with oak, cinnamon and allspice. The overproof hits you like a cannonball through the deck of a Spanish galleon. A bit of water, ice and lime really bring it home.
