Tasting Notes
"The peat is not evident on the nose; it's more a harsh desert note. This, however, clears into an expansive desert of dry flowers and cinnamon notes, the peat still hidden beneath the desert frontier backdrop. The peat, light and sweet, now makes an appearance on the palate to wonderful effect. A light nutmeg dusting before the whisky turns then to soda bread toasted in a roaring oven, thick rustic cooking reminiscent of a bye gone era. The finish is of medium length, the main flavors building in intensity toward a brilliant finish of sweet peat, warm nutmeg and sweet spices. "
