Lysholm No. 52 Botanical Aquavit
Lysholm // Norway
First introduced in 2016, Lysholm No. 52 Botanical Aquavit is made using 11 different botanicals including Norwegian caraway, star anise, coriander, bitter orange peels, and ginger. It gets its name as master blender Ivan Abrahamsen and his team at Arcus decided that the 52nd recipe attempted was the one to be used. It is unaged.
AquavitAquavit (aka akvavit) is a predominantly caraway and/or dill flavored spirit made using a neutral spirit base distilled from potatoes or grain. Other botanicals can be used and it can be aged, but neither are required. Traditionally made in Scandinavia, but can be produced anywhere.
