Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked

It was not as sweet as some folks made it out to be. There was a certain "dry" quality to the taste, much like a brute champagne. For some reason I still feel the dryness in my mouth the next day. Could just be my imagination. Notes of cherry, honey, toffee, oak, and spice. It was fine, but I think I'll turn my attention elsewhere.
