Maker's Mark DNA Project Entry Proof Experiment
Bourbon
Maker's Mark // Kentucky, USA
This experimental release was created to test the best barrel entry proof for Maker's Mark which is typically entered at 110 proof. Four proofs were tested -- 110, 115, 120, and 125 -- with each batch being placed into 25 barrels.
All other variables kept the same; all 100 barrels were aged for 8 years on the fourth floor of the warehouse. Just 10 barrels were bottled from each batch with the remaining whisky continuing to age for further experiments.
