Maker's Mark Private Selection Bourbon
Bourbon
Maker's Mark // Kentucky, USA
Retail partners purchase a barrel of Maker's Mark Bourbon and select 10 finishing staves to create a desired flavor profile. There are five different toasted wood types to choose from and over 1,001 different possible combinations. The 5 staves are: Toasted French Spice, Maker's 46, Baked American Pure, Seared French Cuvée, and Roasted French Mendiant which replaces Roasted French Mocha.
This stave had been used in the Private Select program previously, but since February 2021 has been archived. After additional aging with the selected staves, the barrels are dumped, and the Private Selection is bottled. The stave "recipe" is stated on the front of the bottle.
