Mannochmore 12 Year Flora & Fauna
Single Malt
Mannochmore // Speyside, Scotland
Built in 1971 on the same site as its sister distillery Glenlossie, the relationship between the two distilleries has always been odd in the way of distilleries. During the 90’s when the whisky market was at a low, instead of mothballing one of the distillers the company would have the operational crew work one half of the year at one distillery, and the other half of the year at the other.
The original role of the Mannochmore distillery was to provide whisky for the Haig blends, in conjunction with the sister distillery. Note: Not available in the US.

Tasting Notes
"A deep nose, dark honey and vanilla come forth from the glass, bringing a welcome sweetness that is complemented by the arrival of toffee and butter on the other side, flowers springing from the soft earth and hay. The palate features light smoke tinged with sweet fruits of apricots, apple and pears. Flowers move into the mixture but do little once they are there. The finish is medium and sweet, with spices melding softly in and nuts making a sudden appearance. "
