Matsui Mizunara Cask

It's a good dram but does not justify its price.

Quite spicy when served neat. Added a small ice cube and it softens to only having a spicy finish. Overall, it's ok.

First off, everything about this whisky is subtle. The nose is sweet and fruity, suggesting grape or syrup notes. The palette is a fascinating combination of spicy, sweet, and bread (wheat or cereal) notes. The finish is especially subtle, with the palette notes mostly fading away into a clean, smooth finish. This whisky distinctly reminds me of good tequila.

Fruity sweetness on the nose, almost like a grape or apple juice. The taste is slightly spicy, but mostly notes of grain/ cereal. The finish is pretty clean and a little sweet. Overall this gives the impresseion of a good, neat Tequilla.

Spicy, vanilla, cloves. Peppery.

Smooth, mild malt, mild sweetness.
