Meukow VS Cognac

Nose: Applesauce, baking spices (nutmeg, ginger, and strong cinnamon), spicy oak, medium dark chocolate, hot/sweet chilli pepper paste, mixed ground pepper, green apple hard candies, dried fruit (prunes and dried nectarines), baked pear, orange peel soaked in vermouth, toasted oak covered in caramel, sweet caramely dates, some medium ripe red apples, faint barrel/wood smoke, sweet cocoa with baking spices (mostly cinnamon), candied lemon peel, a touch of toffee Palate:Sweet plums with some fresh caramel, dates, a touch of sweet and spicy paprika, old and sweet white grapes, spicy wood, mixed grape sins, white pepper, some barrel tannins, a hint of pomegranate Finish: White grapes with bitter seeds, old caramel, barrel tannins, a hint of lemon peel, a touch of green apple

Not really my thing, but it's good.

It has a 'true' aroma for Cognac, that of quality grapes. And although it lacks some depth (I'm not picking up much vanilla, or barrel spices) its taste is so smooth, I'm considering drinking it straight or on the rocks, and leaving the Ciroc VS for mixing. After all, that's what Ciroc tells you it's made for, anyway.
