Michter’s Distillery is dates back to the early years of the United States in a time when George Washington was leading an army, fighting for independence from Great Britain. originally named Bomberger’s, now Michters distillery primarily produced rye whiskey as it was common in that day. Being founded in Pennsylvania, it is said that George Washington even had stopped in during his travels to secure whiskey for his men. During and there after the prohibition, the distillery changed hands a few times ultimately leading to the founding of Michter’s in the 1950s.
The Michter’s distillery as we know it has three locations for its operations. Among their line of products are bourbons, ryes, and of course American whiskey. Michter’s is known as a quality whiskey with good consistency. With careful applications and determination, Michter’s distillery strives to produce some of the best whiskies on the market.

The palate is a little spicier with notes of all spice and pepper that gives way to caramel, vanilla, charred oak, candy apple, apple pie, and brown sugar. The finish is long and lingers for a while with some spiciness; notes of toffee, brown sugar, and oakiness are present until the end.
