Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Rye

BIN NWCAT dinner 12/12/18. Like heaven in a glass. Smooth, full, sweet. I literally loved every sip.

I'd say this is a little sweet for a rye. Has a milder rye spice than most ryes and doesn't finish well as a rye. That being said; I'm not much of a rye fan to begin with because they tend to be spicier so I actually like this as a daily sipper. The only downside is it finishes flat.

Nose is hot and spicy. Rather thin and lacking in flavor/depth. A light sweetness with some subtle pepper and cinnamon. Oak comes through on the finish. Vanilla is prominent later on in the pour. Unfortunately, this is a fairly disappointing rye.
