A good, inexpensive single barrel, but not very memorable. I'm still learning to decipher whiskeys and provide decent notes, and the taste of this one fades quicker than I would like.
Neat it has some spice and citrus to it, and adding a few drops of water opened it up a bit and made it lighter to the tongue.
It has a nice, dark copper tone color, and the nose adds to the citrus that I tasted. Maybe a little bit of pepper and charred oak as well.
I expected more from a single barrel rye, especially compared to the Jim Bean single barrel rye that I've tried and my staple rye, Bulleit rye.
