Mount Gay The Sherry Cask Expression

Very much sherry forward, with an extra oomph of sweetness entwined with the already heady molasses notes. The aroma is dessert in a glass. The mouthfeel is rich and heavy with flavor. Notes of sherry rise to the top, but betwixt the mid-range and the deep base lie an assortment of baking spices, oak char, dark cocoa, banana flambe and dark cherry. A long finish leads to a slightly dry and tannic end. Overall, this is exceptional, and a welcome addition to the Mount Gay Master Blender Collection.
