Nant Pinot Noir Single Cask Single Malt
Single Malt
Nant // Tasmania, Australia
Nant (Nant meaning "stream" in Welsh) have once again brought an interesting whisky to the table; a single cask whisky matured in French oak ex-pinot noir wine cask. Using 100% Tasmanian Brewers barley, the Nant estate provides fully one third of the barley it uses.
Non-chill filtered as with all Nant whiskies, this single malt is now part of Nant’s Classic Collection, as opposed to their limited release ranges. No age statement and sold in 500ml sized bottles.

Tasting Notes
"Strong vanilla-caramel comes together neatly with marzipan and wood nuts on the nose with a touch of spice at the end. The wine cask has left its mark on the whisky, with an enjoyable roughness. On the tongue it turns to honey, spiced vanilla and an open fruit orchard littered with fallen apples and pears. The finish is long, creamy and has an attractive oil quality. Best warmed in the hands for a few moments. "
