Wheat Whiskey
New Holland // Michigan, USA
New Holland Artisan Spirits is part of New Holland Brewing, a craft brewery based in Holland, Michigan. Following a Caribbean vacation by their cofounder, Brett VanderKamp, the brewery began producing spirits in 2002.
Their Pitchfork Wheat Whiskey is twice distilled from a mash of 80% Michigan-grown wheat and 20% Michigan-grown 6-row barley. It is then aged around 18 months in new, charred American oak barrels before being bottled at 45% ABV.
