Reviewed October 8, 2023New Riff keeps knocking out the park. Love everything they're trying and this is no exception. Approachable classic and still distinct. -

Reviewed July 19, 2023 (edited July 31, 2023)Tried this the same night as the blue clarage. This bib comes in less creamy, but more baking spices and dried fruit and leather. The finish is hot but not overpowering. A solid bourbon at this price point, and a good combination of flavors.55.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed June 7, 2023 (edited July 31, 2023)Perky corn notes punctuated by a hearty dose of oak char. Strong and vibrant nose. Sweet on the tongue with some rye spice kicking it up a notch. A full flavor with a rich texture leaning heavily on the cask to add depth. Fairly long finish, ending with wood. Very tasty and well done. -

Reviewed June 4, 2023 (edited October 20, 2024)New Riff Whiskey Club Spring 2023 limited release. Info: - Proof: 100 Proof, 50% ABV - Age: Aged at least 5 years - Mashbill: 65% Heirloom Yellow Leaming Corn, 30% Rye, 5% Malted Barley - Bottled in Bond without Chill Filtration The official tasting notes from the distiller are not currently published online anywhere, so I'm including them below for reference. --- Official tasting notes from New Riff Distillery: > Nose: Broad, perhaps extra dense and deep, very typical of New Riff Bourbon in general, airy and open, corn-forward, classic and aromatic, good spice from the 30% rye. > > Palate: Grainy, again with extra depth, whether to the extra age or the heirloom corn is hard to say. Balanced, juicy, the high-rye in superb balance with oak/age/corn, everything in the right place. > > Comments: New Riff's standard non-GMO Indiana-grown yellow dent corn is, in all likelihood, a distant descendant of the Yellow Leaming on display here. Yet the Leaming 1820s vintage heirloom corn seems to lend an additional depth of flavor, texture, development, and quality to our typical 65/30/5 recipe. An extra measure of density marks this Bourbon, together with a zesty, near-perfect balance of corn, spicy rye, oak, age—it's just one of the best Riffs ever!55.0 USD per Bottle
