Reviewed September 8, 2021 (edited January 29, 2024)In South Carolina for a long weekend stint. With that, we stopped in the High Wire Distillery. Didn’t do the tour but did do a flight. The Rye, Jimmy Red, Jimmy Red Single Barrel. So the quick hit. N: corn, cinnamon, candy corn, caramel, vanilla, cream soda. P: Cinnamon, cardamom, almonds or walnuts, caramel. F: Cinnamon, wood. Decent bourbon pour. Good nose. Flavorful. A vanilla cream soda with cinnamon sipper. 86/100 -

Reviewed August 24, 2021 (edited September 21, 2021)Starts off with an absolute beautiful nose. Strong notes of vanilla gives way to some chocolate and dark fruit notes. There is also some ethanol notes, perhaps due to the young age, but not overpowering or unpleasant. The palate brings lots of corn on the front of the palate that turns to grain mid palate and then some oak spice at the back. The finish is somewhat quick with some pleasantly lingering heat. Overall very nice and mildly complex despite its young age.92.0 USD per BottleStateline Elite
