Straw color. Sweet petals nose. Almond paste and sherry notes. Excellent value.

Sweet and fruity easy to drink

Nose: Baking spices, brown sugar, and honey, as well as some green apple. Caramel apple anyone? Palate: Initially some more orchard fruits, especially apple here. More honey in the background as well. Definitely some alcohol burn but it's not overwhelming. A tiny bit of peat coming through towards the end. Nice oily mouth feel. Finish: Long and grainy, reminiscent of a nice Irish whisky. Very slight hint of peat lingers, but appropriately subtle. Very pleasant!

Mild-mannered and citrusy on the nose, with honey and lemons and dates and almost no heat. There’s some burn in the mouth, though, along with an Irish-like biscuit note. Long finish of something resembling pasta. Angular and really refreshing as a change of pace. I think I like it more than the conventional wisdom would dictate.
