Nose: sweet malt, light vanilla, raisins, musty, earthy peat
Taste: same notes as the nose.
Finish: citrus peel, faint sherry,
The taste reminds me of a fairly young malt, which is surprising considering this may be near 10yrs old. While it is hard to me to describe, some young malts seem almost coarse and misconfigured. This one is saved by the light peated malt that was blended with it. It really does a great job and makes this an underrated sip. Especially considering this used to be sold for 60-80 usd.
