Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt (Discontinued)

A shot in Kiroro ski resort, Sapporo. Sweet and easy to drink. Good smell. Another highball in Yakiniku restaurant. Different, but the same good smell. Not sweet.

Malted sushi rice that is light on vinegar. Light japanese white oak smoke on the nose. Sweet malt and rice on the initial taste then smoke. Oily finish. Wishing they hit their stated intention, but the finished product is far from a disappointment.

Sweet, nutty nose with hints of dark fruits. Tingle on the tongue with light smoke and rich vanilla finish.
