Nose - Vanilla, dark buttery caramel, hint of cherry coke, toffee, and faintest bit of clove, coffee cake, and peanuts.
Taste - Very nice balanced oaky dark brown sugar caramel, cinnamon spice, light vanilla/cherry coke reduction sweetness.
Finish - Lingering cinnamon spice warmth, lightly drying oak mixed with a lasting caramel/toffee sweetness.
Score - 86/100
Final Thoughts - Initial nose is quite nice on this one where the higher proof doesn't seem to overwhelm the senses and you're able to nose quite a bit, getting something slightly different each time. Very pleasant nose, nice on the palate with a bit of burn/heat from the higher proof but still tolerable in that you're still able to pick out some individual flavors. Nothing unpleasant about this dram and is a great sipper neat. I could see this being pretty good in cocktails too as the higher proof might help. Seems like a very solid sipping bourbon for the price I paid.
