Novo Fogo is a zero-waste and distillery in southern Brazil that produces organically made cachaça. They honor their home, the Foresta Atlântica, by reusing and repurposing all sugarcane byproducts, so that each bottle provides the world with a taste of the rainforest. Their special edition cachaça in Barrel #194 (made from ex-bourbon American oak) aged for 7 years and yielded 240 bottles in 2015.
CachaçaProduced in Brazil. Distilled from sugarcane juice. If aged, at least 50% of product must be at least 1 year old. The types of barrels used are not specified, but often utilize Brazilian wood. Up to 6 grams of sugar per liter may be added.
