Novo Fogo Single Barrel 89 Cachaça
Cachaça
Novo Fogo // Brazil
Distilled in 2004, this cachaça was probably one of the very first batches produced by Novo Fogo. The distillery uses repurposed oak for aging, where a bourbon barrel is taken apart for the staves to be sanded down, re-charred, and re-built into a new one.
Barrel number 89 sat for roughly 9 years before bottling in 2013. Currently sold out, only 240 bottles were ever released in 2014.
