Oak & Eden Wheat & Spire - Fired French Oak
This bourbon expression is made from a mash bill that swaps out traditional rye with wheat, with 51% corn, 45% wheat, and 4% malted barley. Is is initially matured in traditional new, charred American oak, then when bottled, a 5" piece of spiraled French oak is placed in the bottle.
Therefore the "finishing" of the whiskey takes place in bottle, rather than secondary cask. It is released at 90 proof.
