Old Elk Port Cask Finish

With a medium-light body, the usual suspects are here: sweet corn, fairly spicy rye and a solid barley mid-range. The port itself is quite subtle, adding just a touch of sweetness to a fairly spicy bourbon. A slight grape note comes out towards the tail end of the finish, but overall, the lasting impression is of a well aged whiskey.

Delicious. Sweet burn up front, followed by a fruity long mellow finish. I’m not great at explaining the flavors I taste, but this pour is really great.

Great cherry fruit on the nose, smooth as hell neat - well done. Nice pour at the Bookcase and Barber speakeasy in Durango.

Tasted blind - leather, apple, caramel, toasted marshmallow, fairly oaky and dry. Long lingering finish
