Decided to rate this bourbon again after first sitting with it a few years ago This time around I get a big hit of butterscotch on the nose. The palate is straight up candy popcorn balls followed by black pepper. If you look for it you get candied cherries as well. The finish has heat and anise and fades nicely. The only thing I can say against it is that it isn't vary complex or layered. Honest to God, I don't know why more people don't love this stuff. To each their own. I know that some day soon this will be MGP product and will probably be good, but not the same. Until then, I'm going to enjoy having something that I think is really enjoyable but just hasn't made the scene.
